Mac Seibert became manager of the Pelicans in December 2006. The Cantonment, FL resident has more than 18 professional years experience in the baseball industry, which includes playing, coaching, and scouting.

Seibert played his collegiate baseball at the University of Miami and Jacksonville State University. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics out of high school as a first basemen and then again as a pitcher by the Detroit Tigers. Seibert spent two seasons in the Tigers organization playing for Bristol of the Appalachian League in 1989 and Fayetteville of the South Atlantic League in 1990.

Following his playing career, Seibert served as the head coach at Jefferson Davis Community College (Brewton, AL) from 1991-1994. He then turned to scouting where he worked as an area scout for the Atlanta Braves, Arizona Diamondbacks, and most recently, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was promoted by the Devil Rays to a National Crosschecker in 2001.
